The 84th Tokyo International Gift Show Autumn 2017

The 84th Tokyo International Gift Show, run by Business Guide-sha Inc., which took place in the beginning of September at Tokyo Big Sight (Tokyo International Exhibition Center), on its September 6-8dates.


The aim of this Gift Show is to introduce agriculture with local specialty foods and goods from different regions of not only Japan, but also different counties around the world. 2,529 companies participated this time, both from Japan and 20 countries such as Canada, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, China Germany, and Nepal.



Total number of visitors for 3 days is 200,436 and it is increasing year by year. The targeted visitors of the Gift Show are retailers, wholesalers, and trading companies in personal gift markets, and buyers.




The main reasons people coming to this Gift Show are to find product sources for a new business, and to get some stoking information, but the Gift Show included a wide range of people, so no need to find a specific reason to enjoy perusing all of the goods and display, just come and enjoy what there is.



There were so many booths and stalls which sell Japanese traditional items like the pictures on the left and above, or items from overseas, so one day is not enough to check every booth.




People from Thailand; they set up stalls and introduced their only one techniques. Many interpreters are there so even if you do not speak any languages, you can communicate with them.




You can find some cool stuff which you cannot find in Japan. So Gift Show gives you a great opportunity to discover some of the many interesting things about countries in the world.
